HERC is located at 13 Eptahalkou, a quiet pedestrian street in the Thesseion area at the heart of the historic center of Athens. The Center is 3 minutes’ walk from Thesseion train/metro station and 5 minutes from the major archaeological sites of Athens (Akropolis, Agora, Kerameikos).

HERC can be reached easily by train/metro from both Athens airport and the port of Piraeus. Also, 10 minutes’ walk from HERC one can find Syntagma Square. Buses and trolleys to all destinations run from here.

HERC is ideally located for study abroad students. The surrounding neighborhood is a pleasant and safe environment full of cafes, restaurants and local tavernas. Apart from its proximity to the major archaeological sites of Athens, Thesseion is an old Athenian neighborhood inhabited by traditional Greek families and visited daily by large numbers of Greek and foreign young people for educational and recreational purposes. The area of Thesseion is also adjacent to the old neighbourhoods of Monastiraki and Psiri renown for their markets including art galleries and a flea market.
